‘Saints Row 5’ possibly revealed by tweet from actor; maybe 'Saints Row 4' DLC

According to a report today from VG 24/7, actor Jay Mohr may have revealed that Deep Silver is in production developing Saints Row 5.

Mohr posted to Twitter saying, “About to do my voice over work for new Saints Row game,” with a picture attached of a sound studio and what appears to be a screen of the franchise’s characters.

However it’s uncertain at this time if Mohr meant a sequel to Saints Row 4 or just downloadable content for the game that launched in August, and calls made by GameSpot to Deep Silver were met with a no comment from the studio.

This wouldn’t be the first go around for Mohr –– of Jerry Maguire and Pay It Forward fame –– voicing a video game character, even within the series.

Mohr played Dane Vogel, CEO of Ultor Corporation, in Saints Row 2, which launched for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in October 2008 and PC in January 2009.

Saints Row 4 dropped in August for the Xbox 360 and PS3, selling 1 million copies in the first week after launch.
