‘Saints Row 4’ gets head start on ‘GTA 5’ (Photos)

Deep Silver has officially announced the release date for their upcoming multiplatform video game, “Saints Row 4.” According to a report by Joystiq on March 15, the fourth installment of the “Saints Row” series will be released on Aug. 20, which is almost a month earlier that the launch of “GTA 5.” You can check out some screens from both titles in the slideshow at the top of this article.

Saints Row 4” was originally supposed to be published by THQ before the company went bankrupt. As a result, Deep Silver holds the rights for its release.

“Saints Row 4” and “GTA 5” are part of the open-world action-adventure video game genre. The two titles will be coming out for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 systems. Deep Silver and Rockstar Games won’t be releasing the games on next-generation platforms even tough the PS4 and Xbox 720 will be coming out in the North American region later this year.
