In Saint Louis City, John Cuneo, 66, was set to go to trial this week on charges related to 1st-Degree Child Molestation and sexual conduct with a child. Cuneo was a teacher's assistant at an Elementary school in the Saint Louis City School District. The victim is a disabled student at the school where Cuneo worked. Reportedly, a witness observed Cuneo grab the hands of a child, 4-years old and touch Cuneo's genitals. The witness stopped the incident by approaching Cuneo and removing the child from the incident. Supposedly, when the witness went to the principle, Cuneo was no longer in the same area because another witness discovered Cunero in a restroom with another child, 4, engaging in similar sexual relations. And, yet another employee reported that Cuneo was discovered in a bathroom stall with another child and the child's pants down. At the time of the arrest last January, Cuneo was being held on $150,000 bail.
However, the Saint Louis City Prosecutors have dropped all charges against Cuneo. His defense attorney, Scott Rosenblum reported that he was advised of the Circuit Attorney's decision on Tuesday. According to Rosenblum, the states's main witness against Cuneo was not deemed credable and that the defense has several witnesses to testify on the behalf of Cuneo.
So, is he innocent or guilty as sin?
