Saint Charles West High School fight results in 11 students suspended

On Friday, 8-February 2013, a fight broke out at Saint Charles West High School. Today, 11-students were suspended for their part in the altercation. In addition to the West High students, there were four students from another district that were involved in the fight. Supposedly, a couple of West High students gave the others access through a side door.

"The fight was the result of a Twitter conversation between a couple of St. Charles students and students from the Ferguson-Florissant School District. Three of the teens allowed into the school are from that district; the fourth lives in the Ferguson-Florissant district but apparently is not a student."

-- Superintendent Jeff Marion

One female student involved in the fight was treated at a hospital and released.
