Summer is here and in a city like Houston, the middle of July is a time in which most of us turn to swimming pools, air conditioning, and any other available means to escape the heat. But there is one other, better way to stay cool and enjoy great refreshment at the same time. That better way is a pub crawl and one happens to be scheduled for this weekend. Here is some background information:

Event: Saint Arnold Summer Pils Pub Crawl

Location: Downtown Houston

Date & Time: Saturday, July 19 starting at 2 p.m.

Yes, it is time for another Saint Arnold Pub Crawl, this time in downtown Houston. The Summer Pils pub crawl is an annual event and like the others, it will follow an “open house” policy, which means you can visit any of the first stops in the tour in the order of your choosing. However, you have to start between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in order to get your ticket. The first seven stops are:

  • Brewery Tap
  • El Big Bad
  • Flying Saucer
  • Molly’s Pub
  • OKRA Charity Saloon
  • Shay McElroy’s
  • Springbok Bar & Grill

The final meeting place will be Market Square Park. At 6 p.m. pub crawlers will gather here to have their ticket checked and receive a prize for their accomplishment. The prize is a beautiful Saint Arnold pint glass to add to your collection.

This pub crawl includes a few more stops than usual so anyone who would like to attend with friends and take on the role of designated driver is encouraged to do so. Designated drivers are also eligible for the pint glass reward at Market Square Park so no one will go home empty- handed.

Staying cool is a must during the middle of summer. Air conditioning does the trick, but why just add cool air to the outside of your body when you can add something cool to the inside? Head to downtown Houston this Saturday, partake in the Saint Arnold Summer Pils Pub Crawl, and enjoy a feeling of cool like you’ve never experienced before.
