On the brand new product side of the ledger, Saint Arnold is introducing Fresh Hop 2013 Ale. This beer is brewed, like its name says, with fresh hops- Citra to be exact. Hops have about 48 hours of time after harvesting when they can be used fresh for brewing purposes. Saint Arnold went the extra mile (literally!) and had 420 pounds of Citra Hops air shipped to the brewery to create this non- filtered brew. Its taste has been compared to a west coast IPA, but your individual palate is the best judge.
In the old, yet very familiar and highly anticipated category, Saint Arnold is ready to release its annual fall seasonal beer known as Pumpkinator. This award winning beer is brewed as an imperial pumpkin stout and is much fuller- bodied than the typical pumpkin brew. It has won high acclaim from craft beer fans and critics who love its pronounced pumpkin character.
Pumpkinator is packaged in bomber bottles and will be released on Monday, October 14, 2013. Some stores will take longer than others, so make sure to periodically check the Saint Arnold Twitter and Facebook pages for specific information on who has a shipment and when. There will also be some kegs released to area establishments, but bear in mind that many choose to hold onto these kegs and tap them months down the road, as a special treat.
Fresh Hop 2013 will be sold in draft form only and will be distributed to only a small number of accounts due to limited supplies. Again, it is best to follow Saint Arnold on Twitter and Facebook to get the most up- to- date information on this beer and where it will be sold.
Saint Arnold Brewing always seems to be up to something old and something new and its release of Pumpkinator and Fresh Hop 2013 further solidify its dual reputation. Be on the lookout for both beers and enjoy the cooler fall weather with a great craft beer in hand.
