This Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the Gene Siskel Film Center is hosting the 2011 School of the Art Institute of Chicago Undergraduate and Graduate Film, Video and Audio Presentations.
They could come up with a snappier title, but no complaints on the venue! It's free, from 4-10:30 those three days with different sections and a reception in between programs on Friday.
Check out the full schedule here.
There is a discrepancy on the time between the SAIC materials and the Gene Siskel site. The times above come from Gene Siskel, SAIC says it goes from 4:30-10 on those days. I'll edit this if I can get a definitive answer for you.
From the schedule:
Encounter the next generation of film, video, new media, animation, and sound artists as SAIC
students present their thesis projects in this festival of innovative live-action shorts, animation,
feature-length narrative and nonfiction works, and experimental digital and audio pieces.
Tickets are available at the door prior to screenings. Admission is Free. Seating is limited.
