Sahel Kazemi

From Sahel Kazemi's Myspace page

Sahel Kazemi seems to be the latest victim of love gone wrong. Kazemi (picture right from her Myspace page) was apparently dating the married ex-quarterback, Steve McNair. Both Sahel Kazemi and McNair have been found dead from gunshot wounds.

Steve McNair was married and had been for some years, to Mechelle McNair (not Michelle, as sometimes reported). However, sources say that McNair had met Sahel Kazemi while she was working as a waitress at Dave & Busters and that they had been dating for four months.

There was one incident  a couple of days ago when a black Cadillac Escalade which was registered in the names of both McNair and Kazemi was stopped by police. Sahel Kazemi was charged with DUI, although she reportedly claimed to be "high" rather than drunk. McNair had been with her in the car when it was stopped but as he had committed no offence was allowed to proceed.

In the actual shooting Steve McNair suffered a number of gunshot wounds while Kazemi herself had only one to the head. The gun used in the shootings was reportedly found close to her body.

Given what we know so far it is difficult to argue with Gary Myers summation:

Nashville police hinted that McNair's death may have been the result of a murder-suicide committed by 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi, who was found with a single gunshot wound to the head a few feet from McNair's bullet-riddled body. The two had reportedly been dating for four months, though McNair was married.

To describe Kazemi as a victim of love gone wrong might sound a little odd, for if it was indeed a murder suicide then she is of course a perpetrator of a murder. But the tangled webs we weave in the name of Eros can indeed leave us all victims.

Update: More on Sahel Kazemi's funeral and full video of her DUI stop.

Thats always a possibilty when sleeping with immature little skanks you meet when cheating on your wife. I am a McNair fan and i greive for his family. Rest in peace Steve.

  • Tasha 2 years ago

I knew of a situation where the trashy other woman had the gall to phone up the wife and brag about how long she'd been seeing the husband. Sad world.

Steve cared a lot about kids and tried to make a difference in the world. RIP Steve and hoping the family can heal.

Cheating is never right but taking another life only leave family memories with sorrow

  • Marc T 2 years ago

They talk about what a family man he was, and clearly he was cheating on his wife with some 20 year old whore who smoked him, sad.

  • Sandra 2 years ago

The last sentence of your article is so, so true. Lesson: "Be careful of the company you keep." I don't judge Steve McNair. None of us is perfect, and we all make mistakes. I pray his soul is blessed.

  • Doc 1958 2 years ago

RIP steve Mcnair ,he didnt deserve to die like that, whether she was a skank or not,she was playing grown folks games,he probably was going to leave her and she couldnt handle it and snapped out.

  • Qiana Taylor 2 years ago

ok...everyone is calling her a whore, but we dont know the games that he played with her , her heart or her mind!I believe she was the victim...to have access to his home, a vehicle with her name on it as well as his...come on now! she wasnt right, but HE had all the opportunity and obligation to make the correct choice to begin with...DONT CHEAT ON YOUR SPOUSE! its unfortunate but maybe this will be a lesson for many men. This brings a whole new level and meaning to the Phrase "its not worth it".She was 20 a kid ...not even old enough to drink legally, with a job at Dave and Busters..he took advantage of that young minded ...young girl and bad a very costly price and unfortunately his family now has to pay the price for his DUMB, SEXUALLY motivated, choices...and by the way so does her family. my heart goes out to everyone involved...what a terrible way to pay for your mistakes, and the families on both ends ...May God bless them with some type of peace and healing.

To tell you the truth, i do not fell sorry for him or her. If she was not the one that kill him and than herslf, than they must have did somthing for there lives to end this way. I liked him, but i hate a man that thinks its cool to leave his wife at home crying with while he bangs a 20 year old tramp.

  • kimberly 2 years ago

It may say he was cheating, but you never know. Maybe she was just somebody he was trying to help out and she wanted something more and he said no and she lost it. We may never know the whole story.

  • Steve 2 years ago

This girl was messed up in the head. I won't blame McNair for "playing games" with her as each person is responsible for his/her own actions. McNair paid for the mistake of infidelity with his life. He is a victim but it is important for each and every one of us to avoid potentially dangerous situations. Having an affair with an unknown 20 year old woman 16 years younger than you is very dangerous.

  • mike 2 years ago

Why does it always have to be the woman? It takes 2 to tango. I think they need to keep on looking. They said the gun was close by but, had a hard time finding it. Would have been pretty hard to do. shoot urself in the head then hide the gun. and kev he had been seeing that little skank as you call her for 4 mons. Must have been some good stuff. After seeing her " I'D HIT IT "

  • Jules 2 years ago

I wouldn't call what they were doing dating......he was CHEATING plain and simple.

  • Tisha 2 years ago

I could not feel sorry for her in a million years. She knew he was married, and she chose to be the "side chick". What a selfish female to take him from his kids simply because she couldn't have him all to herself. My heart goes out to his family who will have to publicly deal with their loss and his bad choices.

  • TnGirl 2 years ago

I feel bad for his wife. It has to be humiliating for her. May God be with her and give her comfort.

  • Khole 2 years ago

This situation is sad. My heart grieves for both families. One can only speculate the nature of the relationship between the two. Whatever it may have been, both parties were involved to the point that heavy emotions were in play. I especially feel sorry for McNair's family, his wife and sons. Mechelle will never have the peace of knowing the exact workings of the relationship between her husband and this woman, both people who knew anything are dead. If this was murder-suicide, I feel sorry for Sahel. No man, no relationship is ever worth your life. At 20, she probably couldn't see the years she had ahead of her. 5 years from now, this 'relationship' would be meaningless. Rest in peace Steve and Sahel.

  • Jason 2 years ago

I have as much sympathy for Mcnair as I do for Michael Jackson. These are bad people that hid behind trying to help kids. Come on any honest person will admit that.

  • jade 2 years ago

lesson learned stop cheating it can truly cause you your life. i dont feel sorry for either one. the only person i feel sorry for is Mechelle McNair and her kids. these men think they can cheat and get away with murder and who knows what next he could have picked up HIV or anything. I dont feel sorry for him they say when you play with fire you will get burned.

Its very sad but I don't understand why everyone is bashing the OTHER WOMAN, He had fame He had more pull then she did.He tried to sweep her off her feet and he got swept off his. Its very very sad My heart hurts for his wife and his children but if anyone is to blame its HIM

  • Emily 2 years ago

  • Dr. Ed 2 years ago

No one in this situation deserved to lose their life. It is a gross tragedy for both parties involved. However, I hope people understand that infidelity is not ok! This is just one example of the possible outcome of a malignant relationship between a married man and a single woman!

  • Terry 2 years ago

Neither one of them deserve what had happen to them, but lets not paint Sahel as some innocent woman that McNair took advantage of when he met her. By law she is consider an adult and can make adult decisions. It was wrong on both their ends to have an affair. I'm sure McNair took advantage of him being a known athlete but I'm also sure that Sahel saw dollar signs. So just between the 2 of them there are no innocent victims...just guilty victims. People need to stop trying to take sides and see it as it really happen. They were both wrong and regardless of what may have happen neither one deserve to die.

  • nick 2 years ago

its quite funny how every girl is backing this girl up. You can only blame her because she killed him. Even he didn't play mind games, death should never be the revenge. Stop trying to back up a girl that is clearly guilty and will go to hell. How can you not care that he died because he brought a love and passion to football that was never seen before

  • TD 2 years ago

It's really sad that any woman would stand up for this girl. She's a nasty person- and someone who deserved every bit of heartache that came her way. She took someones life- and I'm sure that she will eternally pay for that. She's horrible for messing with a married man...doesn't anyone value the sanctity of marriage anymore?

  • Michael 2 years ago

She was a dirty bird.... He was a fool! Now they are both gone, for what... a good time? Even celebrities are human and stupid. Selfish acts only hurt your families, now look at the crap they will have to deal with! Guess he wasn't concerned about that!?
    RIP fools!!

  • Rachel 2 years ago

Jason Stop being a twit. I don't see what this case has to do with Michael Jackson. It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and leave no doubt about it.

We men need to join togther and take this country back! Its not the Mexicans thats taking over this country its the women! The laws are set up for women to take everything from the man. A man can work hard his whole life build up a buisness then marry some gold digger who doesn't even contribute to his success, divorce her later and be paying her until he goes bankrupt. Domestic Violence, now I don't agree with hitting a woman, thats for cowards but if you look up the statistics more women commit Domestic Violence against men then men on women but women don't want you to know that. There is no benefit for a man to get married. Leykis-101

this situation is unspeakably sad, especially for the family. but casting sahel as a victim? that stretches credulity. to the degree that anyone in 'love' is a victim, i suppose she and mcnair both were victims. but is there no personal responsibility for either of these two?

He's 36. Wise in the ways of the world. Using money & fame to impress a 20 year old (renting a condo and an Escalade). Do you think he was telling her he was just using her for sex? Nope. He was making her promises, and she was young and stupid enough to buy it. She wasn't even old enough to drink, but was arrested for DUI WITH HIM in the car--and he bailed her out. He didn't deserve to die, but let's not make him out like a saint here. She's not either--but at 36 he SHOULD have had more sense than she did. A 20 year old GIRL on her own since she was 16 and left home. Good GOD, people. How much sense did YOU have at 20? How impressionable would you have been if a superstar gave you a condo and a Cadillac and promised you a future with him? Yes, she is primarily responsible for what happened, but he had a LOT to do with it. He cultivated this insane relationship with a young, unstable girl, thinking he could just walk away whenever he was done. Hard way to learn he was wrong.

  • KAJ65 2 years ago

Wow! This sad story just aired mid-day Saturday and folks are entitled to their own conclusions but when married people m/f make wrong decisions Nothing Good stems from it. I'm a married man with a blessed wife and family that my GOD blessed me with when times get's rough I trust In GOD to help me throughout my darkest moments and I practice self-control and patients with myself before making any false decisions that later in time do you or better terms "Get's the Best of You" is an act of the devil taking advantage of your weakness. Remember the true phrase that's printed on our coins and dollars that's "The Root of Evil" our money "In GOD We Trust" Sorry but my point is if Steve McNair was ending in the wrong path and the facts speaks for themselves: Why is a married man found in this horrifying crime site with a barely 20 year old??? Let's say, if Steve McNair was at home taking care of his family then just maybe there wouldn't be so many heavy-hearts. Family comes FIRST!!! RIP

  • Lilli 2 years ago

My heart goes out to Mcnair's wife and kids. What a horrible way to hear of your husband's and father's death. The title of this article is misleading. The mistress was no victim. She dated a married man and obviously used her goodies to acquire things such as an Escalade. She was an adulterer. She was a gold digger. She was no a victim!

  • MIke 2 years ago

To all 20 yr old ho's dating old guys like me, God bless you for that. Anyone know where I can get a metal detector?

  • astrochicks.com 2 years ago

I feel sorry for Steve McNair's wife and family the most. Mechelle obviously turned a blind eye to his cheating because she loved her man. His children have lost a father. Unfortunately, Steve McNair has fallen victim to the intoxication of power, money, and greed. He probably tried to break it off with her and she decided if she couldn't have him no one could.

  • cesspool bobby 2 years ago

Let's try to make something positive of this. Remember the TV commercial featuring snoop. Snoop is playing up to God, who is sitting behind his desk on judgement day. Snoop is trying his best, to con his way through the gate, to the promised land, only to have God flip the switch, that opens the trap doors on the floor, and into hell, he drops. There in a fiery hell, awaiting Snoop, are many bikini clad old ladies with pitch forks in hand.
I'm tired of the caveman anyway, perhaps a new revenue stream could develope through Steve's loss.

Just wait til her muslim dad got ahold of her. Do you think the results would have been any different? Muslims don't like their daughters hanging with blacks.

DannyKKK is an idiot. That's the dumbest response I have ever read and it makes me ashamed to have him included in my race.

  • KE 2 years ago

I beg to differ. Sahel Kazemi was NOT an adulterer. Steve McNair, on the other hand, WAS. Look up the definition of the word. You tell me who should have had more sense: A 36 year old man, or a 20 year old woman. He was well-traveled, had four children, had a significant career, money, fame. She was a 20 year old DAVE & BUSTER's WAITRESS! A 36 year old wealthy and famous married man SHOULD be able to walk away from a poor, not particularly attractive 20 year old. Asking a 20 year old struggling waitress to resist the attentions of a star athlete is virtually impossible, particularly when it appears he was making promises to her that they would have a future together. There are NO blameless victims here--he contributed to this end result.

It was his fate to go out like this and hers too! Its just sad that it had to be like this for the world to see! God knew long before! We all will die one day but we just don't know how we are going to leave this world. As for all people who have negative opinions, you just don't know how your life may end. Cause when its your time its just your time to go and no one can stop it.

  • ignorance.exists 2 years ago

Wutever, it is my sincerest hope that between today and the day whoever you believe in calls you home, you will either get a brain or use the one you have. I was just waiting to see what idiot would make this about race. I guess if it were a black woman who killed him, it would've been "the way those people are?" If it's a woman from a different ethnicity, then it's her fault for sleeping with a black person. Please reserve your ignorance for your family gatherings at the trailer park or small corners of the world with people with body parts as small as their mentalities. . .
