The Nazareth, PA native’s win was his third of the season and his first street win, and kept him in first place in the overall championship point standings by 16 points
His best lap time was 1:05.6615 minutes and he achieved 89.587 mph on the closed circuit course in the parking lot outside Reliant Stadium, which is the hone of the NFL’s Houston Texans.
He won by 0.3805 seconds over second place finisher and teammate Gabby Chaves.
Chaves is currently in second place in the championship standings.
Finishing in third place was Conner Daly, driving for TMR-RUS Industrial Association team, followed by Jorge Goncalvez, Axcil Jefferies, and Jack Hawksworth in fourth, fifth, and sixth place, respectively.
The race was shorted to 40 laps due to the repair of the track and rescheduling of various practice and qualifying rounds.
The final race on the Firestone Indy Light racing schedule will be Oct. 19 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA.
The race will be on a two-mile, low-banked, D-shaped oval super speedway that is also used for NASCAR racing, with the overall season championship to be determined.
