SAG Awards nominations: '12 Years A Slave,' 'Breaking Bad' lead all noms

Awards season has begun. Today,Dec. 13, the Screen Actors Awards (SAG) nominations were revealed during a live telecast. The nominations were announced by "Rizzoli & Isles" star Sasha Alexander and "Marvel's Agents of Shield" actor Clark Gregg.

Leading the film and television categories were "12 Years A Slave" and "Breaking Bad," respectively. Each garnered four nominations each. Chiwetel Ejiofor received a Best Male Actor nod for his role in "12 Years A Slave."

Oprah Winfrey earned Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role nomination for her role in "Lee Daniels' The Butler." The film also received a nod for Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture.

"Scandal" actress Kerry Washington received a nomination for Outstanding Female Actor In A Drama Series. Maggie Smith also received a nod in that category for her role in "Downton Abbey." "The Walking Dead' picked up a nomination for Stunt Ensemble.

Other big winners included "Dallas Buyers Club," "August: Osage County," "Boardwalk Empire" and "Game of Thrones." The winners will be announced during the televised show at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium On Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.
