Saffron, her face will break your heart

If Saffron could speak, she could describe the trauma which stole a portion of her beautiful face. On the other hand, without the use of words, Saffron's eyes are able to speak volumes.

They speak of a dog who has experienced a horror and survived - a dog who has lived through something that no dog should ever be forced to experience and who amazingly, despite that horror, remains affectionate.

Saffron arrived to the Orange County Animal Services facility in Orlando, Fla., on May 14 - nobody knows what happened in her past to leave her disfigured, but they do know the dog that she is today - a friendly, beautiful survivor.

A volunteer wrote:

You read about this stuff. You see pictures. It's not the same when you see it in person.... I really don't have words.... I added the link to her profile to this post to help everyone find her. I also have a very short video of her coming over to share kisses with both me and Drew Paul... It's not much but enough to show her spirit... Nothing will break her spirit.
