"Safe Haven' safe bet for Valentine's Day

With Valentine's Day on a Thursday this year a number of "date night" movies will be released either that day or Friday with the best bet for lovers being "Safe Haven" starring Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel.

"Safe Haven" revolves around the arrival of a mysterious stranger (Katie/Hough) to Soutport, N.C. and the terrifying past that haunts her. As questions about Katie start to encroach he transitioning to small town life she reluctantly becomes involved in a relationship with a widowed shopkeeper and his two kids (Duhamel) as well as an overly friendly neighbor.

If you or your significant other are not of the "chick flick" genre Valentine's Day can be significantly different by going to see the latest in the "Die Hard" franchise "A Good Day to Die Hard" which finds Bruce Willis character John McLane traveling to Russia to help his wayward son. McLane soon discovers his son is a CIA operative and the two tackle the Russian underworld.
