Sadie Robertson is leaving behind “Duck Dynasty” to join the new season of “Dancing With the Stars.” Us Magazine reports on Wednesday that the reality star has wanted to dance on the show for a long time. Her mother has confirmed Sadie’s interest in the program, and she is excited about the rehearsal process.

Korie Robertson has indicated in the past that her children like television, so Sadie’s decision to become a new cast member of the ABC show is not surprising. The 17-year-old seems ready to use her experience on “Duck Dynasty” to try new roles. Sadie will be competing against stars such as Antonio Sabato Jr. and Lolo Jones, but the teenager does not seem worried.

The teen has been enjoying her summer, and her mother shared a photo of one her large sleepovers. She may also have been secretly rehearsing at home with friends to get ready for season 19 of “Dancing With the Stars.” Some fans have suggested she may use her fashion skills to come up with her own dance outfits.

Although Sadie may be focused on learning the steps to the waltz, the rest of the Robertson clan is staying busy in other ways. The entire family allegedly took a trip abroad, so A&E could film it. The producers are rumored to be interested in seeing how the family would react to a new setting.

Sadie’s decision to join the ABC show may also distract some fans of “Duck Dynasty” from a lawsuit it is facing. The show has been accused of trademark infringement because it used “my favorite color’s camo” without permission from Hajn LLC. The T-shirt designer uses the same phrase for a website, and it has noticed A&E is including it in its merchandise. The Roberston family has not publicly discussed the “Duck Dynasty” lawsuit, and the case is still active.
