It's official. A fine representative from the terrier group wins  this year's Westminster culminating event -- Best in Show.  Scottish Terrier Ch. Roundtown Mercedes of Maryscot  (AKA Sadie) pulled off the win amid the cheers of the raucous crowd. Already the #1 Dog in the country  -- winner of 2009 National Dog Show and the AKC National Show in Long Beach (a total of 112 Best in Show crowns in her life!), this victory gives her the triple crown in the world of dog show.

Competing with the highly coiffed -- Toy Poodle and Puli -- the humorous French Bulldog, silken Brittany, stoic Doberman and aerodynamic Whippet, Sadie strutted her stuff and pulled off an amazing win over the competition to come out on top.

Third time seems to be the charm for this lovely and spirited dog. When Sadie's handler was asked how tonight's performance was different than two previous efforts at Westminster, he said "we learned the carpet different, things that they change in different rings, the flowers...she was kinda confused. We worked on it before."

A beautiful well deserved win by a beautiful and experienced dog who learned her way on novel surfaces with different distractions and came out as the champion of champions.
