Sadness for elderly dog left at animal control

Archie, an elderly shepherd mix, arrived to the San Bernardino City Animal Control in Calif., on April 10 - he must exit the facility on April 17.

Archie's intake photo reveals a happy dog with a hopeful smile...days later, the reality of where he is, and what his fate will likely be, seems to have set in. No longer are his eyes bright and his smile obvious - instead, his eyes now seem to be dejected and without hope.

The 10-year-old dog appears to be "portly," which suggests that recently, he had a home. Unfortunately, to date, nobody has come forward to reclaim him.

Please take a moment to network on behalf of this senior, before he is gone forever.
