Update 12/8/13: Juanes is safe!
Shortly before Thanksgiving, a senior beagle named "Juanes," was surrendered to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif.
For reasons unknown, Juanes' family decided that the nine-year-old dog could no longer reside at their home and today, the sad dog waits behind bars with all of the other homeless pets.
Like the others, Juanes is as risk of losing his life - all too often, those individuals who decide to adopt a homeless dog are looking for a puppy, or young dog, rather than a dog who has already given some of his best years to another person.
Though Juanes is no longer a puppy, he still has a life to live and love to give...he still has the potential to make someone a wonderful companion.
Please take a moment to network on Juanes' behalf.
