On May 10, a volunteer who takes photos of dogs who are in need of homes at the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif., wrote these words about a depressed dog who was surrendered on May 9:
My name is Chico. I have a 7 yr old male white Terrier (ShihTzu?) mix. My owner left me here on May 9. available 5/14/14. Possibly has mange on his chest.
He's very sad; quiet; doesn't want to walk. He's depressed. His family has abandoned him
A video taken of Chico reveals further neglect...long, curling toenails, goopy, crusted eyes and a dirty, matted and unkempt coat.
Chico is in need of help - he needs a trip to a veterinarian, and a groomer - he needs to receive the care that he has been denied for far too long.
Please take a moment to network Chico's information - he is sad, frightened and shut down in his kennel run.
