80th Anniversary Neighborhood Open House by Barbara L. Steinberg
Join the fun at this neighborhood gathering Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 1pm to 4pm. Local firefighters at the historic Alhambra Firehouse #4 will open their doors and their "house" to friends and families throughout Sacramento.
This free, family-friendly event will include a bounce house, barbecue, t-shirt sale, drinks, vintage fire equipment, and tours of the fire station. The original fire station was built in 1902 on 26th Street between and L Street and Capital Avenue. The classic redbrick station was rebuilt in 1933 at its current location. The oldest operating fire station in Sacramento, it's a real gem and we are so fortunate that it lives in our neighborhood.
The station firefighters have been beautifying the building and are proud to share all of this with the community. Done miss this opportunity to celebrate a one-of-a-kind in Sacramento and to thank the men and women who protect us everyday.
