Sacramento Republic F.C. will make a road trip down south to face the Orange County Blues F.C. in the city of Irvine this Sunday afternoon. This will be the team's first road game since they defeated the Arizona United S.C. 2-1 on August 2nd and it will be held at Anteater Stadium located on the campus of U.C. Irvine. Sacramento is coming into this game with a 13-6-3 record whilst The Blues are 9-15-0 and are in eighth place. The Republic is in third place are battling the L.A. Galaxy II who are only two points behind.
The Republic will be led by Rodrigo Lopez (who sat out last week's game due to an injury) who leads the team in scoring with twenty-one points (seven goals and seven assists) followed by Tommy Stewart with seventeen (seven goals and three assists). Orange County's leading scorer is midfielder Allan Russell with eighteen points (seven goals and four assists) along with Christopher Cortez with five goals. The Blues are looking to get themselves out of the losing funk they've been in since they last played Sacramento (1-6) and will be bringing their A game to the pitch. The club has also signed defender James Kiffe (who will be available to play this Sunday) and has released midfielder Chad Bond to make room on the roster.
