The Sacramento Republic F.C. will play host to the visiting Rangers F.C. on Saturday, July 19th at Bonney Field. The Rangers Football Club are the Scottish League One champions and this friendly (exhibition) will be a must watch for all soccer and association football fans. Tickets for the game will go on sale June 12th (through http://www.ticketmaster.com). Season ticket holders will be able to attend the game as part of their package deal.

Rangers F.C. competes in the second tier of the Scottish Professional Football League. They have been around since 1872 and have won more league titles and trebles (three trophy season) than any other club in the world. This will be the first of four "friendlies" the Rangers will partake in during their 12 day tour of the United States. Two more "friendlies" are scheduled for the Sacramento Republic F.C. and they will be announced in the future.

This is a great opportunity for fans to witness a traditional soccer club take the field. It will also be a lesson for the Republic F.C. to get some action against a seasoned veteran team like the Rangers F.C. and be exposed to the association football style of play.
