Sacramento Republic F.C. lose to the O.C. Blues F.C. 2-1

The Republic dropped a road game last night to the Orange County Blues F.C. 2-1 in Irvine. Sacramento's lone goal was scored by Mickey Daly in the first half (assisted by Rodrigo Lopez). The game was tied going into the second half and it was anybody's game until Republic's Harrison Delbridge was red carded for knocking down Blues' forward Gibson Bardsley. After the ejection, Blue's midfielder Stephen Okai scored an unassisted goal in the 70th minute to give Orange County a 2-1 lead which they would never give up. Republic's Goalie Jake Gleeson left the game in the 73rd minute after colliding with Blues' midfielder Allan Russell and was replaced by Dominik Jakubek who held his own in front of the net.

Sacramento (1-1-1) is playing again this Sunday evening at 7:30 against the L.A. Galaxy II (2-0-1) at the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. The game can be viewed live at and where you can also purchase tickets to the first home game of the season to be held on April 26th at Hughes Stadium. Their opponent for the evening will be the Harrisburg City Islanders with tickets starting at just $6.
