The Sacramento Republic F.C. defeat the Chivas U.S.A. Reserves by the score of 3-1 to win their first game of the 2014 USL Pro season. This was the second road game of the year and another visit to the StubHub Track & Field Stadium for the Football Club. Game time was a late morning affair and played under sunny and fair conditions. It was a good day for soccer and weather would not play a factor in the game.

The first half of the game saw the visiting Republic F.C. scoring the when forward Mike Fucito scored an unassisted goal. Chivas came back to tie the game with a score by forward Luke Moore (assisted by Danny Barrera). Sacramento closed out the first half with a goal by Justin Braun (with an assist from Mike Fucito). The second half of the game was less active than the first. Sacramento continued to control the game on both sides of the field as they kept Chivas in check. The final score of the game would be scored by Republic's forward Thomas Stewart with an unassisted goal.

With the one, Sacramento improves to 1-0-1 and will travel once again to Southern California on April 12th to face the Orange County Blues F.C. The game will be played at Anteater Stadium located on the campus of U.C. Irvine. Sacramento Republic F.C. will play their first home game on April 26th against the Harrisburg City Islanders at Hughes Stadium.
