Sacramento region to be well represented at 2013 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Northern California and in particular the Sacramento region will be well represented at next month's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Area golf pros that have already committed to the event include Kevin Sutherland, who is coming off a neck injury that sidelined him for almost the entire 2012 tour season. Dixon's Nick Watney, who has emerged as one of the Tour's top players will appear in the event as well as Spencer Levin, along with former Stockton resident Ricky Barnes and PGA Tour rookie, James Hahn who resides in the Bay Area.

The event which started as a Bing Crosby clambake in 1937, is perhaps the Tour's premier Pro-Am event. The field will be comprised of 156 professionals and 156 amateurs. Phil Mickelson is the defending champion who last year defeated Tiger Woods in what was a showcase Sunday pairing at venerable Pebble Beach course. Mickelson has now won the event four times.

Tickets to the event, scheduled for Feb. 4-10, may be purchased at the official tournament website at www.attpbgolf.com or by phone at 1-831-644-0333. Tickets purchased by phone will incur a service fee of $10.50 while online purchases will be charged an additional $3.50. Advance purchase daily tickets $50. A weeklong season pass is priced at $125, advance purchase. Children under 12 when accompanied by an adult will be admitted free.
