Cool customs and radical hot rods will be on display this year for the 62nd annual Sacramento Autorama, one of the longest running indoor car shows in the world. This year’s event will take place at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds in Sacramento starting this Friday February the 17th and will run through Sunday the 19th.
This year’s theme will be futuristic , and exhibitors are encouraged to decorate with that theme. Over 450 cars are expected to be shown, competing for different awards.
Television personality and star of the hit TV show Starsky and Hutch Paul Michael Glaser will be at the show, and so will the famous Ford Torino used in the series. The Autorama Panel Jam will be a real treat. At the Panel Jam, visitors will able to watch some of the best pinstripe artists in the country at work, then can bid on the finished art work in a charity auction to benefit U.C. Davis Children’s Hospital. The Suede Pavilion is back this year, and will be packed with rat rods and traditional customs. Live music, dozens of exhibits, and some of the coolest hot rods, customs, classics, specialty vehicles and motorcycles in the western United States make this show a must see.
