- Swarovski Crystal Society Jubilation Event: Friday, Feb. 24 through Sunday, Feb. 26 in Suite 1167 at Arden Fair in Sacramento. The event celebrates the 25th anniversary of SCS and will star the 2012 SCS collection.
- Day of Dance for Health: Saturday, Feb. 25, 9 a.m. to noon at Three Stages at Folsom College. With a variety of breakout sessions covering different styles of dance and other health topics, participants can count on a full morning. The admission fee of $5 for Care Begins with Me members and $10 for non-members includes a healthy continental breakfast.
- Soapstone Carving Class: Saturday, Feb. 25, 10 a.m to 3 p.m. in the Coloma area. Sponsored by the American River Conservancy, the cost is $15 for members, $20 for non-members. Call 530-621-1224 for exact location and availability.
- Cuisine on Carson: 11 wineries along Carson Road in the Apple Hill area will pour their handmade wines and serving various small bite foods from 11 am to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25. Bring your own wine glass or purchase one for $5 at your first stop, and you can use it all day. This is the fourth year for the event which showcases small independent wineries.
- First Annual Gold Hill Vineyard Chili Cook-Off and Beer Festival: Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at Gold Hill Vineyard. Tickets are $20 per person and include chili tasting and a glass of wine or beer. Tickets are good for both days.
- Dream Wedding Show: Sunday, Feb. 26, 10:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Expo Center at CalExpo. More than 150 wedding vendors will showcase their bridal wares to help area brides and grooms plan their dream event. Admission: $10 per person.
