The Buffalo Sabres head to Philadelphia to face the Flyers on Thursday, March 7th (7 p.m. face-off) in the Wells Fargo Center. It’s the only trip they’ll make to Phillie this season, but the Flyers will visit the First Niagara Center for the second time in 2013 on Saturday, April 13th (3 p.m. face-off).
The Wells Fargo Center, located at 3601 S. Broad St. in Phillie, replaced the infamous Philadelphia Spectrum as the home of the Flyers in 1996. The arena, which seats over 19,000 spectators for hockey (more than 20,000 at standing-room-only capacity), is also home to the National Lacrosse League’s Wings, the NBA's 76ers and the Soul of the new Arena Football League, as well as the part-time home of the Villanova Wildcats men’s basketball team.
Wells Fargo Center features the Cadillac Grill, a members-only club for dinner and drinks; the Cigar Bar, another premium club and sports bar; and the Lexus Club, a third state-of-the-art bar and restaurant with an 80-foot ticker. The CURE Insurance Club is the world’s largest arena club and features a food court, while P.J. Whelihan's is a full service restaurant open to the public.
Tickets for the Sabres/Flyers match-ups are available through the Flyers’ website; prices range from $83 to $331 (plus fees).
