The Buffalo Sabres visit the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center on Thursday, March 7th (7 p.m. start) for their only road meeting of the 2013 NHL season. The Sabres host the Devils on Saturday, March 2nd (3 p.m.) and Sunday, April 7th (7 p.m.).
The Prudential Center, located at 165 Mulberry St. in Newark, New Jersey, opened in 2007; it is the replacement for the former Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford. In addition to Devils' home games, the Prudential Center - known by fans as "The Rock" in reference to Prudential's logo - also hosts Seton Hall Pirates and NJIT Highlanders NCAA men's basketball games, the New Jersey Rockets junior hockey team, and is the temporary home to the New York Liberty of the WNBA while Madison Square Garden is being renovated. The arena has a seating capacity of more than 17,000 for hockey.
The Acela Club is open to all ticket holders by reservation. There are two seating times in the main dining room, 90 minutes before the event start time and at the event start time; ledge seating is available, offering a view of the ice from the restaurant (minimum purchase per person is required – varies by game level). The Acela Club offers both an a la carte menu and a buffet option ($48per person, $24 for children 10 and under); there is also a bar menu offering gourmet salads and pizza.
Tickets are available for the upcoming Sabres/Devils match-up at the Prudential Center Box Office or through www.ticketmaster.com; tickets range in price from $23 to $264 (plus taxes and fees).
