Sabres on the road 2013: Florida Panthers

The Buffalo Sabres make the first of two visits to South Florida on Thursday, February 28th with a stop in Sunrise to take on the Florida Panthers; game time is 7:30 p.m. The Sabres make a return trip to Sunrise exactly one month later on Thursday, March 28th (7:30 p.m.).

The Panthers were founded in 1993, and made a number of playoff appearances in the late 1990s, including a trip to the 1996 Stanley Cup Finals. The Panthers play their home games at the BB&T Center, located at 1 Panther Pkwy. in Sunrise. The arena has a seating capacity of over 19,000 for hockey, and features over 70 suites that are among the largest in arenas in the country (650 square feet).

The arena features six food courts on its two levels, and event attendees can dine at the Party City Patios near the Plaza level food courts. For game patrons seeking sit-down dining, the BB&T Chairman's Club is open to all ticket holders, and features a full bar and buffet dining options. The Patron Tequila Platinum Club, exclusive to Club Level and full season Lower Bowl ticket holders, features wood-fired pizza, carving stations and pasta. The Black Velvet Club offers sit-down service in an upscale sports bar atmosphere, with sandwiches, pizzas and salads on the menu.

If you're one of the many Sabres fans in the Sunrise area, tickets for these upcoming match-ups are available at the BB&T Center Box Office or through www.ticketmaster.com; tickets range in price from $9 to $175 (plus fees and taxes).
