The Buffalo Sabres visit the Carolina Hurricanes twice during the 2013 NHL season, and the first match-up takes place Thursday, January 24th (7 p.m. start). The Sabres pay another visit to the Hurricanes on Tuesday, March 5th (7 p.m.), and host the Hurricanes at the First Niagara Center on Friday, January 25th (7 p.m.).
The Hurricanes play their home games at the PNC Arena, located at 1400 Edwards Mill Rd. in Raleigh, North Carolina. Known as the Raleigh Entertainment and Sports Arena when it opened in 1999, the arena is also home to the North Carolina State University Wolfpack Men's Basketball team (NCAA Division I). The arena seats over 18,000 for hockey and just shy of 20,000 for basketball.
The PNC Arena’s concession stands are run by VAB Catering, which services over 50 stands and kiosks throughout the arena including Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream, The Locker Room, The Carvery, Pub 300, South Street Cheese Steaks, and Market Place. The Arena Club Restaurant is the premier restaurant at the arena, and features both ala carte items (not available for all events) and an extensive buffet (items vary by event); reservations are open to regular ticket holders 48 hours before a hockey game. Natty Greene’s PubDeck is a 2,000 square foot sports bar overlooking the ice surface; it features a variety of beers, wines, and Pepsi beverages, plus a menu of pub-style foods. The Pub Deck is also open post-game.
