The Buffalo Sabres head west to Calgary, Alberta, Canada for a match-up against the Flames on Tuesday, March 18th; game time is 9 p.m. ET.
The Flames, formerly the Atlanta Flames from 1972 to 1980, play their home games at the Scotiabank Saddledome, located at 555 Saddledome Rise SE in Calgary. On the grounds of the famed Calgary Stampede, the arena was built in 1983, replacing the Stampede Corral as the home of the Flames; it was also built for use in the 1988 Winter Olympics, hosting hockey and ice skating. The arena seats over 19,000 spectators for hockey, and is also home to the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League and the Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League.
The Saddledome features a number of bars and restaurants for its patrons. Dutton's Lounge is the on-site sports bar with 18 screens to catch up on the latest action, while the Alumni Lounge offers light meals. The Saddleroom Grill offers a full-service menu with views of Calgary on one side and the ice surface on the other.
Tickets for the Sabres/Flames game are available through www.ticketmaster.ca; prices range from $40.50 to $275.50 (plus taxes and fees - Canadian funds).
