Is Nick Saban NFL-bound? The University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban reportedly said on Tuesday that he has no desire to return to the National Football League and that the college game is where he belongs.
After the way Alabama has played the last four seasons, the real question is - Why would Saban leave?
The guy doesn't need the money, he is a living legend in Alabama, he just won back to back championships, and no matter what happens from here on out Nick Saban will go down as one of the best NCAA coaches of all-time.
However, could success be spoiling Saban?
Coaches like Saban are driven creatures. When you think about it, what else can this guy do as the 'Bama coach? Well he could go for a three-peat next season, but besides that he has accomplished more in four seasons then some coaches do in twenty.
This is why no matter how many times Saban says he is staying put, he may not be.
The only thing left for Saban as a coach is to master the NFL, a place where he didn't have success.
Will Nick make the jump back to the bigs? Time will tell, but I have a feeling he may; if not this season, then next...after that three-peat run!
