The United States House of Representatives is now the battlefield for amnesty. The large post from remember1986.com shows that there are many members of Congress who are undecided who could pass an immigration bill that could be conferenced with S744 AND even have a path to legal status. Among the undecided shown is Arkansas Congressman Steve Womack. While the other 3 Representatives from Arkansas have been determined to be no votes, Rep Womack has been placed in the undecided column. A Democrat Memo obtained by ALIPAC shows Representative Womack is a target for pressure.
Representative Womack so far has a good record on fighting illegal immigration both on a national level and on a local level. I will try to contact his office and see if he can be a confirmed no on path to legal status and even better, a no on any immigration bill that can be conferenced.
I'm still trying to convince my Congressman, Representative Tim Griffin, to be a confirmed no vote on ANY immigration bill. Representative Griffin has admitted that there needs to be reform in the bureaucracies and that the Bush Administration was slow on building the wall. Having access to several great websites like NumbersUSA.com, FAIRUS.org & remember1986.com has helped.
If you don't want a repeat of the 86 amnesty, contact your US Representative and as many members as you can! Respectfully inform them that you do not want ANY immigration bill that can be conferenced with S744, and that you definitely don't want a bill that has a path to legal status.
