The Cincinnati Bengals website reports today’s that S Chris Crocker is back in Bengals stripes for his 12th NFL season. For the second straight year, he’s been called away from his couch to rejoin the Bengals. He’s been with the Bengals since 2008 and has played in 139 games. Crocker also has 13 career interceptions.
Last season, he played in 13 games and intercepted three passes. To make room for Crocker, the team released OT Dennis Roland, an eight-year veteran (six with the Bengals).
Crocker should provide relief for the Bengals secondary because he is a veteran and is familiar with the Bengals defense. Hall suffered a hamstring injury in last week’s game against the Green Bay Packers. His status for this week’s against the Cleveland Browns is unclear.
