Rylan Clark 'steals the show' at 'X Factor' U.K. 2013 tour launch in Manchester

On January 26, 2013, "The X Factor" U.K. tour launched at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. And by most accounts in the media and on the Internet, Rylan Clark stole the show.

Clark is one of the top seven "X Factor" U.K. contestants acts from 2012 on the tour. The other former contestants on the tour are James Arthur (first place), Jahmene Douglas (second place), Christopher Maloney (third place), Union J (fourth place), Ella Henderson (sixth place) and District3 (seventh place). Clark came in fifth place on the show. "The X Factor" U.K. 2013 tour runs for one month and features the former contestants performing songs that they did on the show.

The tour launched just one night after Clark won on "Celebrity Big Brother" Season 11. As previously reported, a "Celebrity Big Brother" spokesperson confirmed that the show gave Clark special treatment by allowing him time away from the show to rehearse for "The X Factor" tour.

According to the Daily Mail, Clark got the biggest cheers at the Manchester concert, where he performed Psy's "Gangnam Style" and a medley of Spice Girls hits "Say You'll Be There," "Who Do You Think You Are," "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life."

Clark posted this Twitter message on January 27, 2013: "Missing my CBB family... But I've got my Rylan Family on here. Love u all." He then tweeted: "When I get 100k followers I will be giving away 100iPads minis with signed cases that come with2 X factor tour tickets!!RT for entry."

The Daily Mail noted: "The general consensus of audience members on Twitter appeared to be that he had stolen the show."

Arthur, Henderson and Union J were also popular with audience members. Arthur sang LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It," Nina Simone's "Feeling Good" and his hit remake of Shontelle's "Impossible," which was the fastest-selling U.K. single of 2012. Henderson's set list included did her well-received ballad version of Cher's "Believe." Union J's songs included cover versions of Taylor Swift's "Love Story" and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe"

Arthur, Douglas, Henderson and Union J are all signed to Sony Music, which should release all of these artists' debut albums before the end of 2013 or in early 2014.
