On Jan. 16, 2013, Ryan Seacrest asked folllowers on Twitter to guess who owned the lipstick on a ‘Today’ mug. Seacrest spoke openly to ‘The Today Show' about what can be expected on the latest season of ‘American Idol.’ The new season includes a bus that travels throughout the nations to allow those that cannot travel to the audition venues. This opens up the contest to those that are less fortunate or in difficult positions.
When asked about the feud on ‘American Idol’ between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, Seacrest stated that what is seen on the show is nothing but legit. He said that they were both superstars who have larger than life personalities. He said that the chaos and craziness continues between them and that it starts on the way to the first audition. The Minaj and Carey get into a heated debate in the elevator as they go to the interview room. Seacrest stated that the ladies squashed the beef they had before the contestants walked in, but said that they do not always get along on or off set.
The new season of “American Idol” is scheduled to air on Jan. 16, 2013 on Fox. Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson are slated to be the judges this year. Their unique opinions and bold personalities should prove to make this season better than it has ever been.
