Ryan Seacrest had the fans around the world tuning in to ABC to see how he hosted the Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve show solo. The late entertainer died in early 2012 and keeping the tradition alive, Ryan Seacrest took the reins of the popular show to entertain the fans. While the host might have been different, on Monday night it was obvious that Dick Clark’s influence was still felt on the program. Ryan Seacrest even announced the show was dedicated to the legend on Monday afternoon.
“Tonight is dedicated to the man who started it all… Dick Clark,” tweeted Ryan Seacrest from his official Twitter account on Monday. The entertainer also stood in front of signs all around the studio that had the name of Dick Clark clearly posted so people remembered the legend.
While the party wasn't the same without Dick Clark, his memory was honored well. Giving people a taste of the best music and partying with the masses in Times Square, 2013 was ushered while the world watched the Big Apple live.
As fans know the show will never be the same without Dick Clark, but the party definitely will continue in his honor as Ryan Seacrest showed on New Year's Eve.
