Ryan Seacrest confirms the feud is real

Ryan Seacrest appeared on the “Today” show this morning to talk about the upcoming season of “American Idol.” Of course the question that has been on everyone’s mind is whether or not this feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey is real according to E! News on Jan. 16.

Seacrest admitted that the so-called feud between Minaj and Carey is not manufactured. He said that both performers have had great success and are very opinionated.

Seacrest was also asked about whether the show was about the judges or the contestants. Ryan agreed that this season so far seems like it is going to be about the judges and the contestants. Let’s hope the judges don’t take the light away from the contestants with their disagreements.

Although Ryan Seacrest says that the feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey is not manufactured, do you think “American Idol” has used their differences to gain back more viewers? Has the feud been played out to be more than it actually was? Be sure to tune in Jan. 16 for the first episode of season 12 of "American Idol".
