“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest and his girlfriend of two years, Julianne Hough, have split, according to a March 15, 2013 People magazine report.
According to the publication, Seacrest, 38, and Hough, 24, have come to the mutual decision to “take a break” from their relationship.
The New York Daily News reports that an insider revealed the two are just too busy and are unable to keep their romance alive because they are constantly apart.
Seacrest and Hough are staying in contact with one another, and were even spotted out and about on Sunday, reports the Daily Mail.
In a prior interview with Parade magazine, Hough spoke about the challenges she and Seacrest face due to their demanding careers, saying, “It’s a hard thing to do, especially when you’re so caught up in your work and bettering yourself… I think at the end of the day, you have to find a balance with what’s really important.”
TMZ reported on March 14, that about $100,000 worth of jewelry given to Hough by Seacrest was stolen from her Mercedes Benz sports car the week before as she visited with a friend in Hollywood.
