Ryan Seacrest, arguably one of the busiest men in Hollywood, and his girlfriend, actress Julianne Hough, have separated after dating for nearly three years according to the Huffington Post.
E! News reports on March 16 that the couple tried diligently to stay committed to each other, however, their busy work schedules caused too much time apart, and “proved to be too much” for the pair’s romantic success. The two have decided to part ways amicably and are no longer living together.
While Seacrest, 38, is host to television’s very popular singing competition “American Idol” as well as successor to "American Top 40", the radio show made legendary by Casey Kasem, his hosting schedule doesn’t stop there. Seacrest hosts many red-carpet awards shows for E! Television including the Oscars and the Emmys, and has hosted “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” on ABC for eight years running. He also works behind the camera managing Ryan Seacrest Productions, producing such reality-show hits as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and has established the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which works to bring multi-media experiences into hospitals to contribute to patient healing.
Hough, 24, found fame as one of the original cast members on “Dancing with the Stars” and has since moved to the big-screen, starring in features such as “Footloose” and “Safe Haven”.
Although the two started dating in 2010 and have lived together for 2 years, the pressure of traveling for work has taken its toll on their romantic relationship. Both agreed a split was in order. Hough spoke candidly to Parade Magazine about keeping her relationship hot with Seacrest. “It’s a hard thing to do, especially when you’re so caught up in your work and bettering yourself. It does get hard because you’re so focused on that, but I think at the end of the day you have to find balance with what’s really important.”
Although both have agreed to the split, they, too, have agreed to remain friends and keep in close touch.
