Ryan Reynolds has risen to the top of the actors list by circling both the Deadpool film that's in the works and by playing the lead in next year's Green Lantern film, but he hasn't always been an A-list star. Many seem to remember him from "Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place," but most remember Van Wilder being a turning point for the Canadian actor. Reynolds became well-known for his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor (which is one of the reasons fans are eager to see him as Deadpool), but turned in some surprisingly excellent dramatic performances in films like Smokin' Aces, The Nines, and Chaos Theory. Coming this October, before you see him as the Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds will star in the thriller Buried.

What's unique about Buried is that the film at least gives the impression that the majority of the film will take place inside the coffin Paul Conroy (Reynolds) wakes up inside of. He has 90 minutes worth of oxygen before he can say goodbye to the outside world and his family. Paul finds himself equipped with a cell phone and a flashlight as his only hope of getting out alive, but you can only imagine how terrible his reception is and how fast the phone's battery is draining. With no recollection of how he ended up in this box six feet under the ground or who could've done this to him, it's only a matter of time before Paul is buried alive.

The low budget thriller is getting some pretty glowing reviews while the film is said to live up to some of Hitchcock's best.

Buried will see a limited release on September 24th with a wide release October 8th.
