A new hot detective will soon be spotted in Port Charles. According to the Soap Opera Network on Dec. 21, actor/model Ryan Paevey has joined the cast of “General Hospital” as Detective Nathan West.

Head writer Ron Carlivati also confirmed the news. He tweeted: “Look who’s coming to Port Charles…” along with a professional photo of Ryan Paevey. The newcomer’s character will have an immediate impact on Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) whom he shares his first scene with. He may also share scenes with the character of Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) as he may be in town with direct interest in Dr. Silas Clay(Michael Easton).

Is Nathan apart of the dark past of Dr. Clay that Ava Jerome(Maura West) keeps alluding to or is he in town for another reason and connected to someone else? Carlivati will definitely keep viewers on their toes.

Ryan Paevey’s first airdate will be Dec. 30. Most of Ryan Paevey’s professional credits involve modeling. As far as acting goes, Ryan Paevey is mostly known for his work on “Birds of a Feather” and “The Girl with the Gloves”. His upcoming role on GH will be his first major acting role.
