Howard Stern says Ryan O'Neal takes the cake when it comes to being a horrible father.
Stern commented Tuesday on O'Neal's Monday night appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight during which the actor claimed that his daughter Tatum's claims of her own childhood suicide attempts and drug addiction are "fantasy," and that Tatum's behavior contributed to his ex-lover Farrah Fawcett's cancer.

"There was turmoil during my love affair with Farrah," said O'Neal. "A lot of it caused by my family, by my kids -- all of them, but particularly Tatum. And I just think if she had never met us, would she still be alive today? Because nobody knows what causes cancer, do they?"
Tatum O'Neal appeared on the Howard Stern Show on June 15th to promote her new reality show with her father. Tatum shared nearly an hour's worth of horror stories from her childhood including anecdotes about her father's physical abuse, neglect and manipulation.
“It is so upsetting," said Stern in response to Ryan O'Neal's dismissal of his daughter's distressing stories. "If you ever want to learn what not to do as a father watch Ryan Oneal in action...He has no ability to see that his daughter is in pain. His son is in pain…No one wants anything to do with him...It’s so sad because Tatum, like most kids who have really sh**ty parents, only wants a father and she keeps going back to this guy…as bad as he’s been to her…she’s consumed with getting things right for her father, making her father comfortable…This guy is the most selfish, unaware human being I have ever experienced…What a mindblowing character.”
Howard Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers chalked it up to bad medicine.
“I think he’s mentally ill," said Quivers. "That’s the only way you could have no awareness.”
The new reality show 'Ryan & Tatum' is currently airing on OWN.
