Though his latest film met an untimely demise at the Australian box office True Blood's golden boy Ryan Kwanten's fame and fortune continues to skyrocket. On November 30 GQ Australia honored the actor with the title of "Man of the Year" in an elegant affair at the Sydney Opera House. Dressed in Ralph Lauren, Kwanten delivered a touching acceptance speech, which paid tribute to his father's influence. Accompanied by fellow honorees the band Birds of Tokyo, Xavier Samuel and the "Man of Inspiration" Jack Manning Bancroft, the event was a perfect conclusion to a stellar year for the 34-year-old star. Ironically the fireworks that followed the conclusion of the awards ceremony were actually for Bono of U2, who was holding a separate event nearby. Ryan Kwanten will return to the set of True Blood to begin filming for the fourth season next week.
