2014 spring season- Week 6- May 26th-May 31st


Ryan Jurgiewich- Schenck- baseball- The sophomore pitched a complete game three hitter with 15 strikeouts and no walks in 6-1 victory over Deer Isle-Stonington. Went 5-6 with a double, triple, two walks, and five RBI in doubleheader sweep over Deer Isle-Stonington on Memorial day.

Jurgiewich is the third student/athlete and first male from Schenck high school to earn athlete of the week honors. He joins Ashley Leavitt and Morgan Thompson.

Jurgiewich and the Wolverines are battling for the final class D tournament spot with one game remaining in the regular season.

Runner up

Austin Tolman- MCI- baseball- Pitched a complete game five hitter with three walks and six strikeouts in 2-1 victory over Mount View.

Other nominations

A.J. MacEachern- Mattanawcook-baseball- Had two hits and four RBI in 12-0 win over Penquis.

Jacob Sinclair- Dexter- baseball- Had two homers (including a grand slam), a single, and six RBI in 13-10 loss to Central.

Hunter Law- Foxcroft- baseball- Had five hits, four RBI, two runs scored, and pitched two scoreless innings in doubleheader sweep over PCHS. Went 2-3 with two triples and four RBI in 6-5 loss to Ellsworth.
