Ryan Gosling fans may have been missing him from the big screen. After all, it seems like an eternity since he last graced the silver screen. However, fans of the star just got a tantalizing rumor about his next role. According to a March 20 report by The Hollywood Reporter, the star is in negotiations to play a famed behind the scenes choreographer and director from the golden age of Hollywood musicals.

Warner Brothers is currently working on producing a biopic about the famed directors Busby Berkeley. While the deal is not yet finalized, sources close to the production are hinting that Gosling is the first choice for the lead role. Interestingly, there is also talk of Ryan Gosling taking over behind the camera as director. Yet, with all things Hollywood, this is subject to change until the final contract is signed.

Do you think that Ryan Gosling will be able to transition to the role of director? Or, is he better suited to harnessing his acting skill in front of the camera.
