According to Us Weekly on Wednesday, Ryan Gosling has decided to take a break. The 32 year old actor’s departure from the big screen for a while should be a bitter pill to swallow for his adoring female fans.
Apparently Gosling is a little overworked. He states, “I’ve been doing it too much. I’ve lost perspective on what I’m doing.” He went on to say, “I think it’s good for me to take a break and reassess why I’m doing it and how I’m doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that.”
The Hollywood hunk will undoubtedly enjoy some extra time with girlfriend Eva Mendes. The 39 year old beauty will star alongside her man in “The Place Beyond the Pines,” Gosling’s last effort before his hiatus. The drama also starring Bradley Cooper, Ray Liotta and Rose Byrne will be hitting theaters in the U.S. on March 29.
Even though Ryan has been working in the industry since he was all of eight years old, he is still not quite comfortable being in the spotlight. Perhaps it’s the fact that the beam always seems to be accompanied by a microscope.
Gosling states, “I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.” He may need a break, but his fans are not exactly rallying for it.
In any event, the break may just be what the doctor ordered and movie fans will certainly welcome him with open arms when he decides to dive back in.
Maybe by then there’ll be another “Notebook” waiting for him …
