Ryan Gosling loves to knit (Video)

Ryan is a, director, writer and musician and still finds the time to knit. This Canadian born actor started his career as a child on the Disney channel in the Mickey Mouse club. One of the many movies he was in was The Notebook. This year he will act in a generational drama The Place Beyond the Pines and the revenge drama Only God Forgives.

In an interview with GQ Australia, he mentioned he enjoyed knitting on the set of Lars and the Real Girl. He is quoted as saying, "I did this scene in Lars and the Real Girl where I was in a room full of old ladies who were knitting, and it was an all-day scene, so they showed me how. It was one of the most relaxing days of my life."

He get's it. "If I had to design my perfect day, that would be it." "You get something out of it at the end. You get a nice present." Ryan enjoys knitting a scarf.

If we had to guess, I think Ryan Gosling would knit a herringbone cowl, gender neutral with lots of texture and wonderful bulk for style and warmth. Purl Bee has just the free pattern to try. You will be using merino and alpaca yarn with size 17, 32 inch circular needles.

Maybe he will show up to the next knitting guild meeting. Hope he brings his buddies.
