Orange County-based rock/alternative/'groove tech' band RX Bandits have returned, and will release their seventh studio album on July 22.

Titled Gemini, Her Majesty, the album will be the band's first since 2009's Mandala and first since ending their self-imposed 'hiatus' earlier this year.

Some words from band leader Matt Embree:

"In the past, our aim was to bridge the gap between our recorded music and our live performance," says vocalist/guitarist Matt Embree. "But this time around we really didn't ever consider that. We almost willingly ignored it. It was really nice to make a record that we didn't apply live performance constraints to. That said, now we're going to have the hefty task of figuring out how we want to arrange and play these new songs live. We love the challenge."

For more than a decade, RXB have put in the time and effort necessary to be considered one of the 'hardest-working' groups around, amassing a global audience on consistent touring, envelope-pushing albums and a meticulous attention to quality over quantity (as far as albums are concerned).

In addition to the new album, which you can still pre-order, RX Bandits will embark on a national headlining tour in support of the record. If you haven't seen them before, you're highly recommended to check out a gig:
