Rutgers hires Ron Price as their new offensive coordinator (Photos)

Ron Price, the former Kansas State coach, has been hired by Rutgers University.

He has been hired as the Scarlet Knights new offensive coordinator. Head coach Kyle Flood made the announcement on Tuesday.

Prince has spent the past three seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was the Colts assistant offensive line coach in 2010 and 2011, before being hired by the Jaguars for the 2012 season.

Prior to his stint in the NFL, he spent a year as the Virginia Cavaliers special teams coordinator. His came after a three-year run as the Kansas State head coach from 2006 through 2008. He was 17-20 during his tenure, and his tenure included a 2006 Texas Bowl loss to Rutgers.

He was also the Virginia offensive coordinator from 2003 through 2005.
