This recipe has been in my family for so many years, I can not even count! It is a cookie recipe that is made every year at Christmastime. These cookies are very large. Can you tell that from their title?
Russian Rocks
- ½ pound butter
- 1 box dark brown sugar
- 6 eggs
- 6 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups walnuts, chopped
- 1 bag chocolate chips
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add baking soda and flour (one cup at a time).
When mixed add nuts and chips.
Scoop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto foil lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 375* for 8 to 11 minutes.
Bake these until they are lightly browned.
Test one and when you cut it open if it is still gooey inside, put it back in until fully cooked.
These cookies do freeze well. Freeze up to 6 months, airtight.
